So, after six years, we've finally been dumped by EditThisPage.com. Had to happen someday, I suppose. I'd like to save all the previous content, but I think it involves running a local copy of Manila, which I'm not too excited about spending time on. Meanwhile, my Blogger account, which is even older than EditThisPage, still exists, so I've moved back here and will see how it works out.
Where are they now?

1. How did you get rid of the Blogger stuff at the top of the web page?
2. Any idea how to enable an RSS feed on Blogger pages?

I figured out #2. Das Haus von Ruh is syndicated at http://richruh.blogspot.com/atom.xml

Lucky me, whenn I edit my blogger template, one of my choices in the dropdown for "Change the Blogger NavBar" is "OFF". I have another identity I was playing around with who doesn't get this choice! I think I mentioned my main account has been around a while -- since November 1999, in fact! Maybe they did this for folks who signed up before Google bought them out.

I figured the end was near when Wes Felter's Hack the Planet disappeared. It's hard to complain after free hosting for so long.
I've been blogging a bit over at Dave Winer's latest creation: http://blogs.opml.org/curt
I expect I'll have to move on in the not-too-distant feature, but I wanted to experiment with both maintaining a blog and the OPML editor, so this seemed like a logical choice.

Hey, Curt! It's great to catch up with what you're thinking and doing. I might have known I'd find a fellow peak oil enthusiast in you. Poor Dave, will he ever get over outlining?

I think outlining is deeply hardwired into Dave's brain. I always find the way he looks at stuff interesting for this reason, as I'm not quite such an outliner person.
Still the whole OPML thing is getting pretty interesting. I went to a little geek-together in Berkeley with a friend when Dave was doing his OPML roadshow, and it was pretty cool. Ray Ozzie and Scoble showed up, and it was interesting to watch Ozzie's face as he churned through the implications of Dave's talk - he's clearly a thoughtful guy. There were a lot of other interesting folks in the audience (one of the creators of The Sim's, for example) - definitely a "hey, I live in the Bay Area" moment. I'm not sure, but this might have been the beginning of the discussions that led to the MS announcement on SSE yesterday.
The OPML editor is far from polished, but it's a pretty interesting way to edit a blog. I'd love to get the time to dig more into how stylization works.
Speaking of blogs... I didn't see an RSS feed for the latest incarnation of WATN - did I miss something? If it's easy to enable RSS support on blogger, that would be cool. I'd be much more likely to remember to check in if new things showed up in Bloglines.

I have to admit, I don't fully understand this RSS stuff.
But using http://parnasm.blogspot.com/atom.xml seems to work pretty well, at least in FeedDemon.
While you're at it, add my feed as well. :-)

Thanks Rich - the Atom feed's working in Bloglines.
